As per history tales, index finger of Lord Krishna was cut while hurling the sudarshan chakra at shishupala. Draupadi seen that incident and tore her sari immediately and tied it around lord krishna’s finger to prevent it from bleeding. In return Lord Krishna promised to draupadi to protect her in any time. And that was how draupadi’s sari became endless that saved her character in king dhrutrashtra’s court.

The birthday of lord baldeva is celebrated through a popular game known as Gamhadiyan or Gamha jump. On this day, all the domesticated cows and bullocks are decorated and worshipped. This people distribute sweets to their families, relatives and friends.
Jandhyam Purnima or Janai Purnima:
Raksha Bandhan is celebrated as jandhyam purnima in Andhra Pradesh. Also known as janai purnima in Karnataka. Jandhyam means the Yagnopavitham or the sacred thread. Changing of sacred thread is perform, old sacred is removed and new one is worn on this day. Mainly Brahmins perform this act of yagnopavitha dharna. This sacred Thred is to protect against any negative energy.
