Wausau Police Cpt. Benjamin Graham stated that Pacholke was discovered at her residence on Saturday morning in an email sent to USA TODAY on Wednesday morning. Following Pacholke’s “reportedly making suicide remarks,” police discovered her dead while conducting a welfare check.

She was a role model, so joyful and full of life. Neena has such talent, Mackey continued. “Let’s keep Neena Pacholke in our memories for the lovely lady that she was the room’s brightest light. The broadest grin and the funniest chuckle.
“The whole staff here at News 9 is profoundly grieved by the loss, as we know so many other people are as well,” the statement continued. Neena liked this neighborhood and its residents, the message said. We shall miss her terribly since she was a kind person with a large heart and an infectious grin.
