We all are in that phase where work pressure simply kills us on a regular basis. There’ll be days when you’d have a smooth and fancy day at work but then there are days when you would feel like a donkey who’s been burdened with tasks that are double or practically triple to the regular days. As a result, by the end of the day, you feel absolutely exhausted or better explained as half dead and not in the state to move a limb from here to anywhere. All you could think of while laying there on the bed is – that was a damn long day and now I don’t know whether I would be able to make it tomorrow morning or not.
We feel you!!
Work can be very stressful sometimes and it gives you thoughts like – is it even necessary to work our ass off? Well, that feeling is just temporary because you know that working is the only option you have. We or you cannot anything on that end but what we can do is – take that load off or de-stress yourself so that the next day is as bright as this one was and you have the strength to pull yourself out of the bed and head to another workaholic day.
Let me put down a few things that will help you relax after a very long day at work or doing something else.
Get under that shower
You need to start by getting out of your clothes right away and get under that shower. I would suggest a hot water bath but that’s not something which you’d prefer in the summer months, so the room temperature water would also do for you. You can even spend some time playing in the bathtub (if you have one) scrubbing off all the dirt and the sweat off from your body and indulging in some time of self-love. Breathe deeply, stay calm and don’t move around a lot in the water. It will help you feel good and calm.
Roam naked at home
Oh, that is an amazing feeling!! When nobody is watching you you do a lot of stuff and one of them is definitely roaming naked. Get rid of the clothes after the bath and stay without wearing any clothes for some time. It will help you feel rejuvenate and get in touch with yourself.
Get into the most comfortable clothes
After a long day of work, everyone wants to get into the lightest and the most comfortable pieces of clothes. You can avoid having anything as men’s underwear or women’s lingerie because they can feel constrictive and irritate you. Your pair of boxers and a vest or spaghetti would be a great choice for you. All you need is that happy feeling of fabric touching you at the right spots but not so stiff or irritating on the inside.
Make faces in front of the mirror
You can do this before you slip into comfortable clothes or after that and it is effective in a way that it will help you release the tension built up on the neck area. You can make any kind of faces in front of the mirror that would help you stretch your face muscles and help you relax physically.
Stretch out
Stretching out is something that doctors also recommend when you are feeling stressed. In fact, when you are going through a tiring day, you should stretch out after intervals to keep your body feeling flexible and avoiding any kind of rigidity in the body. This helps a lot and when you’re home sitting comfortably, stretching out is not a big deal because it helps you feel good.
Dim lights are a must
Now is the time when you’re in your comfort zone and there’s nothing to do so you can turn down the lights. Don’t go pitch black but have enough to soothe your eyes and where you’ll be able to walk around if need be. Dim lights help the brain relax and also your eyes. I would recommend blue-based light, as opposed to white-based light.
Groom yourself
You have ample time before you doze off, you can apply a face mask or keep cucumber pieces on your eyes to sooth them. Pampering yourself is also important when you’d had a long day and it will help you get ready for the next day too.
So, are you ready for some rejuvenation?
